Lynn Nye

Lynn M. Nye, a longtime resident of Prineville died Nov. 13 1995 at Ochoco 
care Center in Prineville, he was 83
  Mr. Nye was born April, 8 1912 in Sweet Home to Marvin and Anita Nye. He 
attended school and grew up in Sweet Home. He worked for his father in the 
forestry management industry untill 1936. He then went to work driving log 
truck in the Sweet Home area untill 1948. In 1948 he moved to Prineville 
where he went to work for Ray Thompson Logging and Trucking Co. as a log 
truck driver and heavy equipment operator. In 1959, he purchased a dairy in 
Redmond where he owned and operated it untill 1968 when he retired. After 
retiring he and his wife Gertrude enjoyed traveling.
 He married Gertrude Slater on Oct. 19, 1930 in Vancouver, Wash.
  Mr. Nye was a member of the Christian church in Sweet Home. His hobbies 
include: traveling, camping, and making jewelry and other items out of rocks 
and agates.
  Visitation will be Thursday, Nov 16, 2 PM to 6 PM in the Prineville Funeral 
Home. Services will be held Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 AM in the Juniper Haven 
Cemetery in Prineville. 
  HE was preceded in death by his [parents, one sister, son Keith Nye, and 
son in law Bill Moffitt.
 Survivors include his wife of 65 years: daughter Marian Lee Moffitt of 
Prineville: daughter in Law Dorothy Moffitt of Prineville : four 
grandchildren: four great grandchildren : a niece, and four cousins.
