Mrs. Dora E. Williams, wife of Horace Williams of this city, died
Monday after a brief illness. Mrs. Williams, whose maiden
name was Dora E. May, was the daughter of the late Wiley and Virginia
May, elderly Oregon pioneers, who crossed the plains in
early days. She was married in Oregon City to Mr. Williams 29 years
ago and was a member of the Methodist church of this city.
The deceased is survived by her widower. Horace Williams of this
city; two daughters, Mrs. Inina Stewart of Condon, Or., and
Miss Vira Williams of this city. She also leaves five sisters,
Mrs. Olive Exon, Mrs. Aneita Laisner, Mrs. Jennie Miller of
Portland, Mrs. Ella Nicholson of Richmond, Wash.; Mrs. Ida Andrew
of Monitor, Or.; four brothers, Lewis L. May of Portland,
Henry, Edward and Oscar May of Oregon City.
Funeral services will be held Thursday. |
