Funeral services were held here yesterday afternoon for Samuel P. Waterbury, 87, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. J.
Chevron of Odell. He was born in Illinois and came with his parents, Thomas and Hannah Waterbury, to Oregon City when but 4 years of
age. Three children survive: Mrs. Alice Cochran, Mrs. L. A. Chapman of Estacada and Mrs. H. J. Chevron of Odell; also one brother,
James Waterbury of Long Creek, Or. Rev. G. W. Ross of the Christian church, conducted the services and interment was in the
Springwater cemetery.
