Mrs. Helen Ward, wife of Warington C. Ward of North Junction, Or., on the Deschutes river, died today at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Redford (Bud) Simmonds of West Linn. Mrs. Ward was born in Toledo, O., September 11, 1858, and came west in 1873, settling with
her family at Viola.

Surviving are the widower, Warington C. Ward of North Junction, Or.; her sons, Carl Ward of Springwater, Maurice C. Ward of
Clackamas, and a daughter, Mrs. Cora Simmonds of West Linn, and her mother, Mrs. B. C. Lewis.

Funeral services are to be held Thursday afternoon at the Viola cemetery.
