John R. Trembath, a prominent resident of Oregon City, died suddenly at home Wednesday of heart failure.

John R. Trembath was born at Cornwall, England, October 10, 1840. He came to Oregon in 1869, making his home in Oregon City.

Mr. Trembath is survived by the following children: Mrs. Charles Murray, Mrs. Joseph Beauleau, Miss Lillie Trembath, of
Oregon City; Harry Trembath, Thomas Trembath, and Frank Trembath, also of Oregon City. He also leaves several sisters in England
and a sister, Mrs. Johnathan Honohrys of Oregon City; a brother, Humphrey Trembath of Milwaukie.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Rev. C. H. L. Chandler officiating. Interment was in the Mountain View cemetery,
beside his wife, who died in Oregon City in 1905.
