"Pioneer Woman, 94, Dies"
Oregon City, Or., March 22

Mrs. Lydia Miner Tracy, widow of the late Taylor B. Tracy, died at the home of her son, James M. Tracy, of Gladstone, Tuesday
after an illness of more than a year. The remains were taken to Logan this morning, where they were interred beside those of her
husband, who died 11 years ago.

Mrs. Tracy was Miss Lydia Miner. She was born in Jefferson County, New York, August 5, 1817. In 1835 she was married to
Taylor B. Tracy, and in 1852 they crossed the plains to Oregon, Mr. Tracy settling on a donation land claim at Logan, where they
resided for many years. Later they lived in Douglas County for a year, but returned to Logan, which was the home of the family
until the death of Mr. Tracy. Mrs. Tracy then made her home with her son, James Tracy, and with Mrs. Caroline Mattoon, of Viola.

The pioneer woman is survived by a son, James M. Tracy, of Gladstone, and a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Applegate, of Yoncalla,
Douglas County.
