Daniel Talbert, pioneer of 1852 and one of the best known citizens
of the Clackamas district, died at his home today after a
long illness. He was born 82 years ago in Kentucky. He was an Indian
war veteran, taking part in several campaigns in Idaho.
He is survived by his widow, one son, Frank Talbert, of Clackamas;
one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Gerber, of Montana, and a
half-brother, John Talbert, of Clackamas. The funeral will be held
tomorrow from the family home, with interment in Clackamas
Cemetery. |
