Funeral services were held here yesterday for Mrs. Mary Louise Ringo, 93, who died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Branch
Tucker. She was born in Arkansas. She married William Garrett, who served through the civil war but died in 1865. Mrs. Horner, with
four small children, in 1867, crossed the plains to Oregon with ox teams, the trip requiring six months.

They located at Highland. In 1875 she was married to Joseph Ringo, who died several years ago, since which time she has lived with
a son and a daughter. Interment was in the Springwater cemetery.
