Mrs. Mary E. Paddock, wife of J. C. Paddock, prominent resident
of Clackamas County, died at the family home at Gladstone yesterday
afternoon after an illness of about a week.
Mrs. Paddock was born at Monmouth, Ill., in 1848 and was united
in marriage to J. C. Paddock, at Kahoka, Mo., in 1867, and with
her
husband celebrated their golden wedding at their home at Gladstone
last December. They came to Oregon in 1885. Mrs. Paddock was
loved and highly respected in Clackamas County.
Mrs. Paddock was a member of Meade Relief Corps, of this city,
which organization will attend the funeral in a body.
Survivors are her husband, J. C. Paddock, and four children,
Miss Lura Paddock, Arthur D. Paddock, Harry Paddock and Miss Jessie
Paddock, all of Gladstone.
Funeral services will be held from the Christian Church at Gladstone
Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Dunn, former pastor,
officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in the Clackamas
Cemetery. |
