Mrs. Marion Wallace Miller, wife of Thomas M. Miller, for 47
years Circuit Court bailiff, died at her home last Friday night
after a long illness.
She was the daughter of Dr. William R. Allen and Martha Ann Allen,
who crossed the plains in 1850. The family settled in
Canemah, where Dr. Allen died.
Marion Allen was married to Thomas M. Miller December 31, 1863,
in Oregon City, where they had resided ever since. Two
children, Ralph D. Miller and Mrs. C. G. Huntley, of Oregon City,
and two grandchildren, Mildred Huntley and Marion Miller,
survive.
The late Mrs. Joseph Hedges, Mrs. W. C. Ganong, Mary Barlow Wilkins
and Richard A. Allen were her half-sisters and
half-brother. Mrs. Martha W. Sheppard, of Portland, was a sister. |
