"New Era Man is Killed"

Blinded by the headlight of a Southern Pacific locomotive, Oscar Lucas, aged 26 years, was struck and killed late last night
near Barlow while walking the track toward New Era.

Lucas lived with his stepfather, Mike Hurias, of New Era. He had gone from New Era to Barlow Friday night and was walking
