John B. Lorch, 63, died her yesterday after an illness of 18
months.
He was born in Germany and lived in Portland several years, coming
to Colfax 20 years ago. He operated the Colfax Harness company
until recently. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's
Catholic church tomorrow, following which the body will be sent
to the
Bruning & Howell mortuary at Portland for services Monday morning
at the Canby, Or., Catholic church. Burial will be at New Era.
Mr. Lorch was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks and Modern
Woodmen of America. Surviving are two sons: Dan and Francis of
Colfax; a daughter, Sister M. Coullette of St. Mary's Institute,
Beaverton; a brother, Gabriel, at Mount Angel, Or., and six sisters
is Switzerland.
John B. Lorch was associated for 15 years in Portland with the
George Lawrence company.
The body will arrive Sunday morning at the Bruning & Howell
mortuary, Third and Clay streets, where it will lie in state until
Monday morning. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday
at the Canby Catholic church, with Father Jonas officiating.
Interment will follow in the New Era cemetery, where Mr. Lorch's
wife is buried. |
