| The funeral of William T. Linn, a pioneer, who died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. G. W. Bever, at 835 Clinton street.
November 28, was held yesterday afternoon at the chapel of the East Side Funeral
Directors at 414 East Alder street. Rev.
Clarence True Wilson conducted the services. Interment was made in Rose City
Cemetery. Mr. Linn was 74 years old and had been a
resident of Oregon for 45 years. He first settled in the Eagle Creek district,
Clackamas County, where he owned a farm. In 1869
he engaged in the sawmill business, owning and operating the first sawmill erected
on Kellogg Creek, at Milwaukie. He also
operated a sawmill on the Clackamas River for several years. Since 1895 Mr. Linn
lived in Portland. His wife died a year ago.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. G. W. Bever, Portland; George
E. Linn, of Stevenson, Wash.; Charles A. Linn,
Portland. |
