Mrs. Dora Hoffmeister, wife of Henry Hoffmeister of Eagle Creek, died Saturday, April 1, aged 78.

Mrs. Hoffmeister was born in Germany in 1838, coming to this country when a child. She was married in Pittsburg, Pa., in the
fall of '66 and after a residence of a few years in Kansas, came to Oregon with her husband, locating in Clackamas County.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Hoffmeister of Eagle Creek, and four sons and one daughter, Henry and John, of Damascus,
Or., Dave and Fred, of Eagle Creek and Mrs. Lilly Ehmsen, of Portland.

Mrs. Dora Hoffmeister, an old settler of this place, died at her home April 1, after an illness of two weeks. Dora Schroeder
was born in Hanover, Germany, July 24, 1838. She came to the United States in 1867 and was married to Henry Hoffmeister in
Pittsburg. She is survived by her husband, four sons, John and Henry, of Damascus; Dave and Fred, of Eagle Creek, and a daughter
living in Portland.
