Funeral service for Isaac N. Henness, 88, who died Saturday at his home at Alderwood, Wash., were held here yesterday, with
interment in the Russellville cemetery.

He was born may 25, 1842, in Van Buren county, Iowa, and with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Henness, came to Oregon by ox
team in 1852, and in 1853 settled at Mehama in Marion county. In 1854 he was married to Harriett Berry at Lyons, Or. For a number of
years they made their home there and then moved to Washington. For 46 years they lived at Moclips, Wash.

Surviving besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Lena Laurence and Mrs. Carry Landers of Massachusetts; two sons, Asa of
Bellingham and Vane of Molalla; three brothers, E. Henness and L. T. Henness of Lyons, T. L. Henness of Myrtle Point; one sister, Mrs.
Mary L. Furnidge of Lyons.
