Mrs. Amanda Jane Evans, widow of the late James M. Evans and a
pioneer of Clackamas county, is dead at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. George E. Watts, 555 East Sixteenth street north,
after an illness of several months. Mrs. Evans was born May 17,
1851, and came across the plains with her parents in 1852. She is
survived by three children, Mrs. George E. Watts of Portland,
Wilson Evans of Canby and Henry Evans, who resides in Alberta, Canada. |
