Funeral services for Dr. Henry A. Dedman, who died here yesterday,
will be held here at the Methodist Episcopal church Tuesday
at 2 p.m. Services will be in charge of the Masonic lodge, with
interment in Mountain View cemetery, Oregon City. Dr. Dedman
was born in Clark county, Missouri and came west with his parents
in 1878. He was graduated from the University of Oregon
medical school in 1896, and has practiced medicine in this city
for 36 years. At the time of his death he was serving his fifth
term as mayor of Canby, had been for nearly 30 years continuously
a member of the Canby school board, was chairman of the union
high school board and had served Clackamas county as a representative
in the legislature for two terms, 1917 and 1919. He was
district surgeon for the Southern Pacific company. He was a member
of Elks, Masons, the Eastern Star, Odd Fellows and Rebekahs.
he is survived by his widow, Blanche; a son, Craig C. of Sherwood,
Or., and a daughter, Mildred of Oregon City. |
