"Electrician Dies on His Vacation"
 

John Wesley Alspaugh, an electrician employed by the Portland Railway, Light & Power Company for several years, who went to the
home of parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Alspaugh, at Alspaugh station, on Estacada car line, a few days ago on his vacation, died suddenly
Monday night. It was his first vacation in five years. He arrived in good health and retired Sunday night in good spirits. He was
taken ill at 10 o'clock and became unconscious. Dr. Adix was called from Estacada, but failed to restore him. The funeral was held
Wednesday afternoon from the home of his parents and interment was in Eagle Creek Cemetery, Rev. Mr. Kahlman conducting the services.
Mr. Alspaugh was 28 years old. He is survived by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters; Marshal, Lawrence, Roy and Emma.
