Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schmidt of Beaver Creek, prominent residents of that section of Clackamas county, recently celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary at their farm home. A number of their children were present for the occasion.

Owing to Mrs. Schmidt's illness, who had recently left a hospital in this city, the family reunion will be held in October,
when some of their neighbors are to be invited to the Schmidt home.

Mr. Schmidt was born in the state of Baden, Germany, January 21, 1888, and Mrs. Schmidt, also born in Germany, on April 4,
1843.

They were married in Germany on September 5, 1865, and came to the United States, settling in Oregon in October, 1885. They
were accompanied to America by their three sons, now leading livestock breeders of Clackamas county, and have since resided in
Clackamas county, the parents having made their home continuously at the Beaver Creek farm.
