The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Holder of Estacada was celebrated at the Garfield grange hall, near
Estacada, at the annual open house Thanksgiving dinner of the grange, coming as a surprise to the honored guests. Rev. E. C.
Symmes, pastor of the Estacada Methodist Episcopal church presided. Mr. Holder was born in Indiana, and his wife Mary M.
Warwick, in Iowa. They were married at Montezuma, Ia., November 26, 1876, and came to Oregon in 1891, having resided most of the
time in or near Estacada.
