Abe Hardy, old-time fiddler of Clackamas county, and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last Sunday at their
mountain home ten miles southeast of Molalla, where they have lived since their marriage, August 22, 1880.
Friends and relatives called during the day to pay their respects. An al fresco dinner was served and Mr. Hardy entertained
with his fiddle.
Mr. Hardy was born in Illinois in 1855 and came to Oregon in 1876. Mrs. Hardy was born in Wisconsin in 1861 and came to
Oregon in 1874. They were married in Wilhoit, moving immediately to their homestead near Molalla.
Their children are Ralph and Charles Hardy, both of Molalla. |
