Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hamman Sr. celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, the affair being arranged as a surprise by
their children and church friends. About 60 were present at the Hamman home, and the couple were "re-wed," the ceremony being
performed by Rev. F. Dobberfuhl. A large cake bearing 50 candles was presented to the "bride and groom." The occasion also was
in honor of Mr. Hamman's 78th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Hamman were married near Des Moines, Ia., and have lived at Sheridan and
Sandy for 17 years. Children of the couple present at the party were John Hamman, Mrs. Charles Dubarko, Mrs. Louise Schroeder of
Sandy and Henry Hamman Jr. of Portland.
