"Rev. and Mrs. A. S. Black Wed For Half Century"

The golden wedding anniversary of Rev. and Mrs. A. S. Black was observed August 7. MR. Black was born in Nova Scotia in 1857.
He has been a member of the Northwest Iowa conference of his church more than 50 years. Mrs. Gertrude M. Black was a member of
the well-known Wolcott family of Shoreham, Vt. She was born in 1862.

The marriage was at Louden, Ia. After living in Iowa 20 years they came west and have lived in Washington and Oregon 30 years.

They are the parents of Mrs. A. L. Brower of Morrisville, N. Y., and William Merle Black of Cathlamet, Wash.; A. Burr black of
Knappa, Or., and Emerson P. Black of Klamath Falls, Or.
