A reception held recently at their home near Sandy marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beers, Oregon
residents since 1878.

Coming to Oregon from Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Beers were married in Portland in 1894 by F. B. McDevitt, justice of the peace, and
have lived for the past 44 years at their present home. Among the 150 friends and relatives who congratulated them on their
golden wedding day were their seven children and families.

These included, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Modrell, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wagner, Mrs. Rena Manary, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harris, Mr. and
Mrs. J. A. Jacques, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gunderson and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gunderson; also 12 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
